About www.Ornamental-Pheasants.co.uk

This site has been put together by two friends with a common hobby, breeding pheasants and other ornamental birds.

We each keep a selection of exotic pheasants which we exchange with each other to produce unrelated stock which we can sell to help fund our collections.

We hope this site will bring together like minded people who, like us, want to improve the UK pheasant stocks by selective and careful breeding.

The following sections detail stock, location and delivery, our services when a bird is not listed and future plans for the website.

Stock:

At present we have listed birds we keep and frequently have for sale.

We have not listed specific birds for sale with prices as there are too many fluctuating costs involved at present to be able to do this. In addition to which, all birds vary in age and condition. We currently have a number of poults and several single and mature pairs of birds available. Full colour birds with a proven breeding history are clearly more expensive than uncoloured poults, however these can prove to be advantageous if you do not want to keep and feed poults for years before they become mature and develop their full adult colours and are able to provide fertile eggs.
We therefore ask you to contact us for more information.

Location & Delivery:

We have 2 locations in England from which you can collect: North and Central Oxfordshire. In addition, we can arrange for national delivery by courier. We do, from time to time, travel around the country and we may be able to sort delivery directly, or there may be the possibility to meet up at a mutually agreeable place.

Bird not listed?

We have an extensive network of friends who keep and breed birds, so if you have a need for a specific bird, maybe we can help you find it. 'Bird Finder' is a service we offer to everyone. This is where we can help locate a single bird to make up a pair or replace a lost bird or we can locate a pair or any number of more difficult to locate birds.Bearing in mind that we are Hobbyists, we have to charge a finders fee of £5.00 per bird for this service to help cover costs.
If you would like to discuss this service further or would like to take up this offer, please contact us initially via the 'contact' form.

Future:

As the site progresses and develops, in time we hope to be able to offer you the chance to advertise with us and also to list your birds and related items.
We hope to be able to bring you a photographic gallery of our birds along with information on each species. This will provide brief information on bird requirements and needs accompanied by a photograph. In time we aim to have a forum discussing all bird issues. We feel this will enable bird keepers to exchange knowledge and views.
